Cape Byron is the easternmost point of the mainland of Australia.
The cape was named by British explorer Captain James Cook in 1770, to honour British explorer John Byron who circumnavigated the glob
We walked 3km from Byron Bay through the rainforest of Cape Byron Nature Reserve. This photo was taken from the Cape Byron lighthouse looking out into the Pacific Ocean.
